When I walk into Weinberg Village to visit my mother, I am always struck by the warm and loving atmosphere. The staff is so welcoming, the residents are smiling and there are always activities going on. It is a happy place to be. Finally, I am able to go to work without constant worry about my mother.
Written Testimonials
When we finally got my father-in-law into Weinberg Village, I felt that the world was lifted off my shoulders...we are going through uncharted waters and it is very comforting to know that you have the map that will help us through.
If you have a family member who requires a dignified, ALF environment, then look no further than Weinberg. In our humble opinion, it is one of the best facilities of its kind to be found anywhere. …we have been frankly amazed at how Sonja’s individual needs – both cognitive and physical – have been recognized by Weinberg personnel.
Today, at Weinberg, my mother, wheelchair bound for almost the last 9 months, walked with her walker into my house, through, and into my back yard. She hadn’t been out of that wheelchair in all that time, but she has gained strength, a sense of identity, her health (has not had a urinary infection or major health issue for the entire time she has been at Weinberg) and a positive attitude – smiling all the time. Weinberg is an excellent facility, or perhaps community is a better description, where people of all capabilities are treated respectfully, lovingly and kept viable through the activity programming. Mother was a former non-participant in activities, but you would never believe that now.
My mother-in-law…is happy …is active and has made lots of friends at Weinberg. My husband and I could not be happier with her progress …and we will recommend Weinberg to our friends and their aging parents.
I feel so blessed that during my dad’s last month’s on this earth, he was taken care of in an exceptional way. I have nothing but wonderful things to say about the staff, nurses, and administration. There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude to everyone. I highly recommend Weinberg Village to anyone who asks me for advice on assisted living information.
Since I am in the mental health/social service field, I have seen many other facilities where there is not a good feeling or a trust in the staff. I am lucky enough to be able to sleep knowing my mother is well cared for and that if I call on someone, they will address my concerns. ..The staff is uniformly kind, helpful and easy to approach.
The memory care unit is the perfect place for my father. The food is kosher and it is prepared according to his medical needs. The staff is kind and caring. The activities person is very creative and interested in each individual in the memory unit.
