Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Giving medication as prescribed by a physician.

  • Providing change of condition to physicians and implementing care plan instructions.

  • Taking vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and weight.

  • Basic wound care including cleaning and bandaging injured areas.

  • Giving injections of medication.

  • Immunizations.

  • Taking medical histories.

  • Entering information into computer systems.

Job Description
  • We are currently seeking for Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) Personal Care Technicians (PCT) with the right skill set to join our team. The CNA or PCT will cue and/or assist residents with all basic self-care tasks of Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) including but not limited to; dressing, proper hygiene, bathing, transferring, and feeding, all to improve the residents overall quality of life.

  • Provide non-medical care and assistance for seniors and disabled adults.

  • Provide the residents with the necessary and as needed personal care, emotional support, and help with activities of daily living.

  • Oversee the safety and comfort of residents.

Job Description

  • Prepare foods assigned by the Cook, using daily menus.
  • Assist in preparing foods for special events.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment.
  • Store and handle food properly for proper infection control.
  • Clean equipment, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer and sinks according to schedule.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations
  • Participate in plating and transporting food
  • Notify manager of malfunction of equipment or appliances
  • Carry out other duties as assigned


Job Requirements

  • Some experience in food preparation preferred
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and comprehend English at an 8th-grade level or better

Physical Requirements

  • Lifting, pushing and pulling up to 50 pounds using proper body mechanics and/or available equipment as physically required—including but not limited to helping staff; moving supplies and food service equipment etc.
  • Physical stamina – must be able to bend, kneel, squat and sit on the floor, etc. as required to lead, to perform cleaning tasks and to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Must be able to stand, walk around and remain active at least 95% of work shift as required.
  • Work is mainly performed in a weather controlled, air conditioned facility with some time spent outdoors during outside functions. Facility is well lit and has typical food service environment obstacles, such as equipment and staff, etc.

  • Preparation of foods according to the standardized recipes and production methods
  • Ensure high quality using safe sanitary food handling techniques
  • Service, storage, and daily quality control checks
  • Work multiple production stations
  • Conduct quality control checks on taste; temperature and presentation
  • Performs other duties as necessary
  • Assist in preparing foods for special events
  • Maintain a clean, orderly and safe kitchen environment
  • Participate in serving food
  • Clean equipment, appliances, floors, drains, storage area, refrigerator, freezer and sinks

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a cook
  • Enthusiastic about food preparation and a positive team member
  • Must enjoy and be able to succeed in a fast-paced work environment
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers and coworkers
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department needs
  • CERTIFICATION: State food-handling and kitchen regulations  
  • Previous culinary and food service experience, healthcare experience a plus
  • Work independently with minimal supervision

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists with innovation and execution of resident recreation/lifestyle programming at the community.
  • Performs enrichment activities as scheduled
  • Provides socialization opportunities, fitness and wellness activities, educational programs, as well as spiritual life support based on resident needs and preferences.
  • Performs tasks in a manner that preserves each resident’s dignity, privacy and confidentiality while demonstrating friendliness, courtesy and professionalism.
  • Helps develop monthly activities calendar and distributes daily activities schedule as well as other applicable resident programming communications.
  • Completes documentation and maintains records as required by company policies and governing agencies.
  • Accompanies residents on day trips and to special events


Job Requirements 

  • 1-2 years’ experience in ALF, geriatric, rehabilitation, nursing or similar environment preferred
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Word, Excel 
  • Ability to plan and execute activities and events
  • Ability to read, write and converse with residents in the English language
  • Outstanding customer service with caring and compassionate behavior and a smile
