Receptionist - Assisted Living Residence / Memory Care (Tampa)

Job Description: 
  • We are currently seeking for a Receptionist with the right skill set to join our team. The receptionist performs tasks needed to organize the receptionist's front desk; greeting people, answering and directing phone calls, giving appropriate information to customers and residents; assisting the Executive Director with office administrative responsibilities.

  • Our senior Assisted Living Facility in Tampa Florida offers a unique blend of assisted living, Alzheimer and memory support care and respite care - all geared toward providing seniors an option for retirement living that combines comfort and security knowing that help is always available when needed.

Schedule / Hours: 
  • The basic characteristics of the schedule are as follows:

  • Schedule is 2pm-9pm.

  • Able to work weekends and holidays (if and as needed).

  • Must be computer proficient.

Job Requirements: 
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED.

  • Minimum of 18 years of age.

  • Genuine interest in working with the elderly.

  • Able to handle complaints graciously.

  • Experienced computer user.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Relate to people in a courteous, understanding and cooperative manner.

  • Excellent communication (oral and written), organizational and time management skills required.

  • Must possess outstanding customer service skills (friendly, good attitude and calm disposition) and the ability to interact and build relationship with older adults.

  • Work independently, be self motivated with multi-tasking abilities, and be detail oriented.

  • Must be dependable, responsible, and punctual.

  • Professional personal/dress required.

  • Must be able to clear level 2 background check (no criminal record), drug screening, and Tuberculosis testing.

Job Functions Duties and Responsibilities: 
  • Answering telephone (transferring, on-hold, paging).

  • Taking messages.

  • Directing information to correct sources.

  • Operate fax machine and copy machine.

  • Insure community forms are all in order.

  • Take orders for guest meals.

  • Keep up to date community apartment roster.

  • Keep employee telephone list and resident phone list up to date.

  • Purchase and sell stamps (Resident stamp fund).

  • General filing.

  • Determine inventory on office supplies and submit for approval to management.

  • Keep common area and front desk tidy (clutter free).

  • Post mail.

  • Provide community tours for potential residents.

  • Respond to resident questions and inquiries.

  • Respond to emergency calls from residents.

  • Competency with computer programs (Microsoft Windows, Excel, etc.).

  • Assisting Administrator with special projects and/or assignments.

  • Assist in projects as required by Administrator or key management.

  • Coordinate and implement callbacks, direct mail as directed by key management.
