Our Story

Our Story

Deeply Rooted in History

In the late 1930s, Harry Weinberg pledged his then-modest assets to enable many German Jews to reach safe havens in America. As Harry’s means increased over many years, so did his support of the Jewish community.

Weinberg Village was born in 1995 with the goal of comfort, delicious traditional Jewish and kosher food, and a campus where young and old could interact and benefit from one another.

Our mission has been to enrich the quality of life of our residents and enable them to enjoy a full, active, and meaningful lifestyle in a familial community with Jewish values and culture.

The Harry and Jeanette Weinberg Foundation awarded a $1 million matching grant to Weinberg Village to establish the Weinberg Village endowment with the TOP Foundation.
